Welcome to HedgehogOptions! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and subscription products (“Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services. 

 

  1. Introduction

 

These Terms form a legal agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and HedgehogOptions (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of our subscription-based investment education and trading services and any free services that may be offered. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services. 

 

  1. Eligibility

 

To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and abide by them.

 

  1. Subscription Terms

 

Our Services are offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees for the selected plan. Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined on our website. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but refunds are only provided according to our refund policy (see Section 18). All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

 

  1. Services Provided

 

HedgehogOptions provides educational content, proprietary training sessions, and model portfolio tracking for options trading. We focus on delivering structured execution strategies, position selection, and risk management techniques such as hedging and covering. You understand and agree that our Services are for educational purposes only and do not constitute personalized financial advice. 

 

  1. Disclaimer of Investment Advice

 

The information provided through our Services is not intended to be and should not be construed as financial, legal, or investment advice. HedgehogOptions does not make any specific investment recommendations. You are solely responsible for making your own investment decisions and should consult with a licensed financial advisor if needed. Past performance of any trading model or strategy is not indicative of future results. 

HedgehogOptions is not an investment advisory service, a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or any other type of business subject to regulation by the Ontario Securities Commission or Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, or any other Provincial, Federal or international regulatory bodies. We do not purport to tell or suggest which options, securities, or currencies subscribers should buy or sell, we do not make trades for you, and are not a trading platform. Please do not sign up for or purchase our Services if this is what you are seeking. 

HedgehogOptions relies on the “Advising Generally” exemption from registration requirements contained in section 8.25 of Canada’s National Instrument 31-103, Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations”. Though Hedgehog Options will provide general information about the merits and risks of particular securities and trading strategies, all financial and non-financial information, facts or opinions provided, regardless of medium, wording, or tone, will be not tailored to the needs or knowledge level of any specific user. It does not factor any recipient’s individual investment goals, financial circumstances, market knowledge, time horizon or risk tolerance, and should not be relied upon for the buying and selling of any securities.    

 

  1. Risk Acknowledgement – Options Market Trading

 

By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that trading in the options market carries inherent risks. The strategies, models, and educational content provided by HedgehogOptions are designed to help you make informed decisions, but they do not eliminate the potential for financial loss. You understand and accept that: 

  • Options Trading is Speculative: Options trading involves speculation, and the prices of options contracts can be highly volatile. There is a substantial risk of loss, and it is possible to lose more than your initial investment. 
  •  Market Conditions Are Unpredictable: Options trading is subject to market conditions that are often unpredictable and may affect the performance of your trades. Sudden shifts in market dynamics, economic events, interest rate changes, or geopolitical risks can result in significant financial losses. 
  • Leverage Can Magnify Losses: Options trading often involves leverage, which can magnify both gains and losses. You must carefully manage your risk and be prepared for potential losses that exceed your initial investment. 
  • Past Performance is Not Indicative of Future Results: Any examples of past performance or success shared on our platform do not guarantee similar outcomes in the future. Trading results can vary widely depending on individual strategies, market timing, and other factors. 
  • No Guarantees of Profit: HedgehogOptions makes no guarantees of profitability or specific financial outcomes. You acknowledge that your success in the options market depends on your own decisions, market conditions, and other unpredictable variables. 
  • Risk of Total Loss: You acknowledge the possibility of losing your entire investment, particularly in more aggressive options strategies such as buying out-of-the-money options or using complex strategies like spreads or straddles. 

 

By using our Services, you agree that HedgehogOptions is not responsible for any financial losses you may incur as a result of trading options or using any of the strategies, tools, or educational materials provided. You are encouraged to seek independent financial advice before engaging in options trading and to only trade with funds that you can afford to lose. 

 

  1. No Guarantee of Results

 

We strive to provide valuable educational resources to help you make informed trading decisions. However, we do not guarantee any specific results or returns from using our Services. The performance of options trades is subject to various factors beyond our control, and past success does not guarantee future outcomes. 

 

  1. User Responsibilities

 

By using our Services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt to disrupt or hack the platform, or engage in any unlawful activity. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. 

 

  1. Payment and Billing

 

You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the subscription fees, including any applicable taxes. Subscriptions may be charged on a recurring basis unless canceled before the renewal date. If we are unable to process payment, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Services. For information on billing cycles, payment methods, and refunds, please review the terms outlined on our website. 

 

  1. Intellectual Property

 

All content, materials, and proprietary tools provided through HedgehogOptions are the intellectual property of HedgehogOptions and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without prior written consent from us. 

 

  1. Termination

 

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time if you are found to be in violation of these Terms. You may also terminate your subscription at any time by following the cancellation procedures outlined on our website. 

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HedgehogOptions and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to financial losses, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use our Services. 

 

  1. Indemnification

 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HedgehogOptions and its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of a third party.

 

  1. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

 

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles in other juristictions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our Services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of Ontario, Canada, or in a court of competent jurisdiction in Ontario, Canada, if applicable.

 

  1. Severability

 

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 

 

  1. Changes to Terms

 

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. 

 

  1. Privacy Policy

 

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference and forms an integral part of your agreement with us.

 

  1. Refund Policy

 

HedgehogOptions offers subscription plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Service delivery and Member support are of paramount importance. While we hope Service content will keep you with us for a long time, we understand if you decide to terminate your membership. Please carefully review our refund policy below:

 

  • Monthly Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a monthly subscription is activated, no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the month. Users may cancel their subscription at any time, but the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, after which the subscription will not renew.

 

  • Quarterly Subscriptions: Quarterly subscriptions are eligible for a partial refund if canceled within the first 14 calendar days of the initial subscription period. After the first 14 days, quarterly subscriptions are non-refundable. If a refund is requested within the 14-day period, the Member will be billed for one full month at the Monthly rate and will be refunded for the difference between the Quarterly rate and the Monthly rate. Once canceled, the subscription will remain active for the remainder of the current (one month) billing period but will not renew.  Using sample numbers for Quarterly and Monthly rates, here is an example: 

 

                Quaterly rate (paid):     $270 (discounted rate) 

                Monthly rate:               ($100) 

                   Refund:                     $170  

 

  • Annual Subscriptions: Annual subscriptions are eligible for a partial refund if canceled within the first 30 calendar days of the initial subscription period. After the first 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If a refund is requested within the 30-day period, the Member will be billed for two full months at the Monthly rate (without the Annual discount) and will be refunded for the difference between the Annual rate and the Monthly rate (x2). Once canceled, the subscription will remain active for the remainder of the following one month billing period but will not renew. Using sample numbers for Annual and Monthly rates, here is an example: 

 

                Annual rate (paid):    $1000 (discounted rate) 

               Monthly rate:              ($200) ($100 x2) 

                  Refund:                    $800 

 

  • Cancellation Process: To cancel a subscription, users must submit a cancellation request through their account settings or by contacting customer support at membersupport@hedgehogoptions.com. Cancellation requests are effective as of the date they are received, and no further charges will be applied after the current billing cycle ends. 

 

There will be no refunds issued for Membership termination triggered by a violation of these Terms of Services. 

 

  1. Third-Party Links and Services

 

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by HedgehogOptions. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites or services. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that HedgehogOptions shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred from third-party content or services. 

 

  1. Testimonial Disclaimer

 

The testimonials displayed on our website are from followers of @hedgehogoptions and @hedgehogplus on X (formerly Twitter). They reflect unsolicited, genuine responses posted publicly on X. While some testimonials have been slightly shortened, they have not been altered in any manner and the original meaning and sentiment have not been altered in any way. HedgehogOptions retains screenshots of all testimonials, and most remain searchable on X for independent verification. We are proud to share a selection of these testimonials to help prospective Members understand our community. 

Please note, however, that these past testimonials from X represent personal opinions and are not yet reflective of future Members of this Service. We do not claim, nor should it be assumed, that every Members experience will be consistent with the sentiment expressed in any shared testimonial. Individual experiences will vary based on learnings at HedgehogOptions, and future success in options trading depends on multiple factors, including market conditions, strategy choices, and personal risk tolerance. Testimonials are not predictive of future outcomes and do not guarantee results. 

 

  1. Electronic Signature Consent

 

By accessing or using our Services, you consent to the use of electronic signatures and agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature. You acknowledge that any agreements, notices, disclosures, or other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing. 

By selecting “I Agree,” checking a box, or any other method used to indicate your acceptance of these Terms or any related agreement, you are electronically signing the Terms, and that action constitutes your legal consent to be bound by these Terms and any associated policies, just as if you had physically signed them in writing. 

You agree that no certification authority or other third-party verification is necessary to validate your electronic signature and that the lack of such certification or verification will not affect the enforceability of your electronic signature or these Terms.
